Bernadean L. Von Haden
Bernadean L. Von Haden, 95, of the Augusta Area Nursing Home, passed away early Sunday morning, March 18, 2012 at the home.
Bernadean Louise Von Haden , daughter of Herman and Ernestina (Gruhlke) Boettcher was born, twin sister to Bernice on April 26, 1916 in the town of Fairchild. She attended Rabensdorf Country School in Fairchild Township. She was baptized by Pastor Geske and confirmed by Pastor Buck, both at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fairchild.
She was united in marriage to Rudolph J. Von Haden on May 16, 1937, also at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church by Pastor Buck. The couple farmed all their married life in Bridge Creek Township, just south of Augusta. After Rudy passed away in 1972, she continued to live on farm and help wherever needed. She had worked at the Red Onion and Madsen Café in Fall Creek. She was also involved with Eau Claire County Senior Aide Program, working at the Fall Creek and Augusta Elementary Schools, at the Augusta Senior Center and Augusta Nursing Home. Bernadean loved her time spent outside working on the lawn, tending to her gardens and spending time with family. She also enjoyed crocheting and was a member of the Good Neighbor Homemaker’s Club. Due to failing health she moved off the farm when she entered the Augusta Area Nursing Home in May of 2006.
She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia (Victor) Tromrud of Rosemount, MN; 2 sons, Marvin (Rosie) Von Haden of Osseo, Melvin (Linda) Von Haden of Augusta; 7 grandchildren, Dan (Dawn) Von Haden, Diane (Dan) Luedtke, David and Don Von Haden, James Tromrud, Virginia Grenier and Christina Von Haden; 8 great grandchildren, Alex, Amanda and Justin Von Haden, Kayla (Richie) Price, Trevor (Jocelyn) Luedtke, Thomas, Shannon and Jordan Grenier; 8 great great grandchildren, Nathan, Riley, Brennen, Mason and Chase Price, Landyn and Maci Luedtke and Aurora Grenier. He was also preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Luella Boettcher in 1937, Herbert Boettcher in 1986 and Bernice Von Haden in 1991.
Funeral services will be held Wed. March 21, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Augusta, with Pastor Jonathan Wessel officiating. Burial will be in the East Lawn Cemetery in Augusta. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
