Russell Pettis
Russell Pettis, age 86, of New Brighton, MN, died Aug 30, 2012. Russell was born in Fairchild, WI, to Floyd and Margaret Pettis.
Russell married Alice Thurston on Sept 12, 1964. They have one daughter, Paula. Russell was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and was retired for over 24 years from NSP (Xcel Energy). He enjoyed deer hunting with family. He was a member of the Minneapolis Commodores barbershop chorus since 1980.
Russell is survived by his wife, Alice; daughter Paula; sisters Lorraine Davis, Phyllis Pettis, and Sylvia Bertrang; many cousins, nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church, New Brighton, MN at 11am Friday, Sept 7th. Russell will be buried at West Lawn Cemetery, in Augusta, WI on Saturday, Sept 8th at 2pm.
