John Jensen
John Paul Jensen, son of John and Mary (Ellison) Jensen was born Sept. 25, 1957, in Waukegan, Illinois. He was raised in nearby Wauconda, where he attended grade school and graduated from Wauconda High School in 1976.
From 1980 until 1984, he served in the United States Navy as a cook on Navy submarines. After his honorable discharge he spent time laying ceramic tile in Florida, before moving to Fairchild in 1987. While in Wisconsin, he worked as a cook at Happy Hollow in Altoona, the Oasis in Osseo, and at Empty Pockets and Black Creek Bar and Grill, both in Fairchild. John enjoyed visiting with people, playing fantasy football and following the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. He had a passion for reading the Bible and talking with others about his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
John suffered a massive heart attack at his home on Sunday evening. All attempts were made to revive him, but the Lord had other plans for John,. He passed away Monday, July 30, 2012 at his home, reaching the age of 54 years, 10 months and 5 days.

John will be deeply missed by his fiancée, Michelle Mikottis of Fairchild; mother, Mary Jensen of Waterville, MN; 4 brothers, Joseph (Audrey)Jensen of Chicago, James and Thomas Jensen both of Fairchild, Raymond Jensen of Florida, Victor Jensen of Waterville, MN; 3 sisters, Margo Jensen of Fairchild, Jean (Jeff) of Waterville, MN, Mary (Phil) Bonyata of Genoa City, WI; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Jensen in 2004.
