Helen Hoffman
Helen Ruth Kutchera Hoffman passed away at the age of 87 at her daughter Anita Schnell’s home in rural Wisconsin on July 11 (her mother’s birthday) as family members quietly chatted at the dinner table just feet away.  Helen considered Anita and Tim’s home her home-away-from -home, where she was treated like a queen.

Helen is the daughter of Cecelia (Benda) and Glenn Kutchera.  She was united in marriage to Robert G. Hoffman September 1, 1942  at Immaculate Conception Church in Alma Center, WI.  She spent most of her married life in Fairchild before moving to Kaukauna in 1995.
Her greatest accomplishment was lovingly raising 16 children, always making each one feel special.  Her children blessed her with 57 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Her life was an example of wholesome values.  Her outgoing personality and love of life generated unique, lasting bonds of friendship and love wherever she went.  She could drive a tractor one day and just as easily be the classiest lady enjoying her world travels the next.
Helen embraced life to the fullest, and her many roles included Kutchie, Helen Ruth, Mom, My Mommy, Mrs. H., Pretty Lady, Grandma, Granny Great, and Granny Great Great.

She was famous for her delectable dinner rolls and her huge chocolate chip cookies.  She was a champion Scrabble player.  Her green thumb was legendary.  Helen was an avid reader, and in her later years a popular member of the local Red Hat Club in Kaukauna.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert G. Hoffman and 4 children.

Her children are:
Judith Zachman (Bob), Jo Ann Brooks (Bob), Rita Biese – deceased (Dan), Katherine Lizan (John), Constance Mayer – deceased (Dave), Mary Kanack (Ken), Linda Hoff (John), Robert Hoffman Jr- deceased, Jennifer Darling (Mike), Daniel Hoffman, Thomas Hoffman – deceased,  Anita Schnell (Tim), Jacqueline Polinske (Virgil), Ann Michelle Bennis (Gary), David Hoffman, and Margaret Richman (Bill).

Suggestions for donations in her memory may be made to Black River Memorial Hospice, 711 W. Adams St., Black River Falls, WI  54615.

The funeral services will be held Monday, July 16, 2012, at 11 AM at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, N13740 Fairview Road, Fairchild, WI 54741. With burial in the church cemetery.
