Kenneth Hakey
Kenneth Paul Hakey, son of Douglas and Susan (Bush) Hakey was born December. 29, 1977, in Joliet, Illinois.
As a small child he moved to Fairchild, Wisconsin, where he attended grade school and was eventually home schooled. Most of his adult life he had worked for Midwest Manufacturing of Eau Claire. He started in the manufacturing division and was currently working in the shipping department of the extrusion plant. While working at Midwest he met Toni Jeannine Roose, the couple were later united in marriage on September 15, 2007 in Ladysmith. Ken and Toni lived all of their married life in rural Fairchild, where he enjoyed working on old cars. He loved going out in the forest 4 wheeling with trucks and had recently gotten into 4 wheeling with ATVs . Ken was a loving husband, son, brother and father.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Toni of rural Fairchild; son, Poindexter Hakey son of Kenneth and Michelle Flick of Augusta; father, Douglas and step-mother, Linda Hakey of Essex, IL; mother, Susan and step-father, Dennis Butler of Neillsville, WI; 2 brothers, Douglas Jr and Kristina Hakey of Sapulpa, OK, Rick and Nicole Hakey of Osseo; sister, Sophia Hakey of Essex, IL; Father and mother in-law, Rick and Pamela Roose of Ladysmith; 2 brother in-laws, Warren and Edward Roose; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Kenneth passed away on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, reaching the age of 34 years, 1 month and 22 days. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Augusta, with Pastor Dale Hazard officiating. Friends may call 2 hours before services at the church on Saturday.
The church is located on U.S. Highway 12, (street address - 1225 W. Lincoln St. ) near the Augusta Schools. The family is assisted by the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.
