Sherry Dusso
Sherry L. Dusso, 59, of 140 Witte Road, Augusta, passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, surrounded by the love of her family.

Sherry Lea Dusso, oldest of 10 children born to Donald and Loretta (Obermier) Knuth, was born Oct. 28, 1952, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Augusta. Sherry lived most of her life in Augusta, where she attended Augusta High School. She married Gary Brown on July 10, 1971, and to this union her children, Nathan and Nicol were born. She later married Mark Dusso on July 20, 1990, in Eau Claire, and they are the parents of Kyle and Karlee. After Sherry’s mother passed away on May 14, 1972, she assumed the responsibility in helping to raise her younger siblings. Over the years Sherry had worked in Eau Claire at C.C’s Pizza and in Augusta at the Farmer’s Bar, Augusta Bakery, Nu-Café, Tugger’s Café and most recently at Subway, until health issues forced her to retire. Sherry enjoyed the time she had spent playing softball, riding horses, hunting out the thrift sales and shopping. She was an avid Brewer and Green Bay Packer fan, a soft touch for any stray animal, but mostly importantly she loved her family and spending time with the grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Mark of Augusta; 4 children, Nathan (Christine) Brown, Nicol (Nathan) Smith, Kyle Dusso and Karlee Dusso all of Augusta; 5 grandchildren, Erika Brown (Anthony Berry), Zachary Brown, Chelsie Anger, Logan Brown and Michael Smith; great-grandson, Lucas Berry; 5 brothers, Donald “Sonny Knuth of Rushford, MN, Andy (Cara) Knuth, George (Melissa) Knuth all of Eau Claire, Ralph (Kathy) Knuth of Augusta, Raymond (Jamie) Knuth of Fairchild; 3 sisters, Beverly Johnson of Taylor, Laurie Oldham of Willard, Lorraine( Bruce) Wasserburger, of Laramie, Wyoming; mother-in-law, Rose Dusso of Menomonie, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Elaine Knuth on July 11, 1989, father, Don on July 14, 1999, step-mothers, Betty and Barbara Knuth and father-in-law, Raymond Dusso.

Services will be held Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with Pastor Dale Hazard officiating. A visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Â
