Norman Ayers
Norman Ayers, 77, formerly of Augusta, passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at the Clairemont Nursing Home in Eau Claire, where he had been a resident since January.  
  
Norman Ardelle Ayers, son of Howard and Beryl (Livermore) Ayers was born June 28, 1935, in Augusta. He attended school in Augusta, graduating from Augusta High School in 1953. He was united in marriage to Carol Welke and to this union 3 children were born. Norm had worked for Farm House Foods and Roberts Wholesale where he loaded and eventually delivered groceries. He then took employment with Allied Black Top of Eau Claire, where he worked for 20 years before retiring. He eventually returned to Augusta, making his home in the Coon Fork area, before moving nine years ago to Eau Claire. Norm enjoyed hunting out west and in Wisconsin. He was a wonderful cook, he enjoyed collecting coins and guns, making trades whenever possible and visiting with friends.  

He is survived by long time friend and devoted caregiver during this recent illness, Jean “Lorettaâ€? Simonson of Eau Claire; daughter, Julie (Tom) Nowak of Eau Claire and her two daughters, Alissa Nowak and Tricia Nowak; son, Tim (Lynn) Ayers of Chippewa Falls and his son, Jacob (Brandy) Ayers; 5 great grandchildren, Devin, Ayan, Jerbon and Brailey Nowak and Audra Ayers; 4 sisters, Lucille Skogsta of Ladysmith, Muriel Anderson of Osseo, Nancy Molstad of Stoddard, Pat (Hubert) Fiedler of Hurt, VA., brother Milton (Jean) Ayers of Wisconsin Dells; He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Martha Larson, Mary Bedell, Hazel Crow, Thelma Larsen , Dale and Laurance Ayers.
