Kathryn Lorraine Schluter, known to family and friends as Lorraine, was born March 22, 1934 in Richland Center, WI. The daughter of Kenneth and Wava (Teach) Fish, Lorraine grew up with her brother Richard in the Richland Center area of Wisconsin .
After her graduation from high school Lorriane attended Business College in Madison. She had been employed as the city clerk in Richland Center before taking a job with W.A.R.F. Institute in Madison, where she was commended and recognized in her position as the chief accountant with the Institute.
Lorraine was united in marriage to Carl Schulter on July 12, 1969, in Madison. The couple lived in Madison before moving to Fairchild in 1983. After Carl passed away on June 5, 2015, Lorraine sold their home and moved to Augusta.
Lorraine touched the lives of many children with her participation in the Foster Grandparent Program through Americor and implemented in the Osseo-Fairchild School District. For over 30 years she assisted the teachers, first with the special needs children and then working with 1st. graders.
Through Carl’s involvement with the Mason and Shriners organization, Lorriane was a member and Past President of the Shriner’s Women’s Auxiliary in Eau Claire. After moving to Augusta she formed many cherished friendship across from her home at the Augusta Senior Center.
Lorraine will be dearly missed by her children, Linda Ewing Brusca (Michael Brusca) of Madison, Tom Adler of Portage and Lori Havey of Middleton; stepson Brian (Norma) Schluter of Ashtabula, Ohio; step daughter Ann Sarg (Rick) of Golden, Colorado; grandsons, Bryan and Kevin Sarg, Bill (Regina) Caldwallader, Ryan (Tracey)Ewing, Chad (Sarah) Adler, Ben Havey, Sam Havey, great-granddaughters Destiny Cadwallader and Makenzie Adler.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Wava; and brother Richard (Nancy) Fish.
A memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at noon at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with a visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Immediately following the service a lunch and Celebration of Life will be held until 3:00 p.m. at the Augusta Senior Center.
Lorraine loved the color blue, feel free to wear blue in honor of her memory.
