Marianne I. Kiesow, 81, of rural Fall Creek, passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon, June 13, 2026, with her family by her bedside at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield.
Marianne Irene Kiesow, daughter of John and Ella (Marten) Sperber was born June 6, 1945. She was raised in the Hay Creek area of rural Augusta, where she was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church and attended Hay Creek Country School. She graduated from Augusta High School in 1963 and following high school she had worked a summer at Bush Brothers Canning Company in Augusta and then at Fabri-Tech in Eau Claire.
On May 29, 1965, Marianne was united in marriage to David Kiesow at her home church, Zion Lutheran. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Sun Prairie for a year and then in Fall River for an additional year. During that time, Marianne worked for a clothing manufacturer in Columbus.
In November 1966, they returned to the Fall Creek area and settled in the Town of Lincoln, where they operated a dairy farm. Although David was employed full-time away from the farm, Mary Ann played an instrumental role in the day-to-day operation of the dairy, and together they successfully managed the farm while raising their three children. In 1975, they built the home on their property where they continued to reside to this day.
Her gift for sewing provided several employment opportunities over the years, including sewing draperies for Samuelson's and doing alterations for a dry-cleaning business both in Eau Claire, she also sewed safety aprons from her home for the All-American Supply Company. She had also worked at NorTech Industries in Augusta.
A faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in the Town of Seymour since 1979, Marianne served as financial secretary for many years and volunteered with Vacation Bible School.
Her greatest enjoyment came from sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She also loved reading, especially murder mysteries, tending her flower gardens, canning and caring for her beloved pets. In her younger years, she enjoyed snowmobiling with family and friends. Above all, Marianne treasured her family and looked forward to the many special outings and gatherings they shared together.
