Anthony Haas
Anthony David Haas, “Tony” 50, of rural Fairchild, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 24, 2026. He is now at peace in the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Tony was born December 1, 1975, in Clovis, New Mexico, the son of Richard and Diane (Sellhausen) Haas. He lived his entire life in Wisconsin. During his early childhood he spent three years in Milwaukee and one year in La Farge, before moving with his family to Eau Claire. While in Eau Claire, he attended elementary and middle school. After the family relocated to the Fairchild area he attended Osseo-Fairchild High School.

Most of Tony’s adult life was spent working as a roofer with Bertrang Roofing out of Fairchild. He truly loved being outdoors, and his work allowed him to enjoy the fresh air and physical activity he appreciated so much. However, his true passion was fishing. Tony especially enjoyed fishing the many rivers Wisconsin has to offer, spending treasured time along the water with family and friends.

Recently, Tony had been staying at the Benson Farm in rural Fairchild, where he helped with farming chores and daily responsibilities.

Tony will be dearly missed by all who knew him, especially his mother, Diane (Steve) Flanegan of rural Fairchild; two sons, Bryce (Mert) Okyay of the Minneapolis area and Anthony of Blair; daughter Stephanie (Andrew) Brazeau of Cadott; and two beloved grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother, Jeffery (Kari) Haas of Osseo; sister, Margaret (Tim) Smith of Fairchild; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, his cousin Carl Nylund and his Uncle Mike Haas who he had lifelong close relationships with, and Paul Benson and Eunice Bruenjes relatives through marriage, whose friendship and closeness meant so much to him.

He was preceded in death by his father Richard.

Tony was recently baptized into the Baptist faith and was looking forward to becoming a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta, a decision that meant a great deal to him.

Memorial services will be held at noon on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Augusta.

Friends may call 2 hours prior to services Saturday at the church. The family is being assisted by Anderson Funeral Home.
