Doreen Barberg
Doreen Barberg, much loved by many, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Born March 13, 1931 in Augusta, Wisconsin, Doreen considered a family farm a great place to be from. She graduated from Augusta High School, attended Chippewa Valley Technical College, and worked for 10-years at US Rubber Co. as a secretary. In 1959, she married Warren Barberg and had three children, Lynn Lindahl (Larry), Bill Barberg (Angela), and Ann Geyer. Later she enjoyed part-time work and volunteering.
Family was very important to Doreen. She dedicated herself to raising her children and started many fun family traditions. She loved the Lord, her family and friends, and had a great special love for German Shepherd dogs. She enjoyed bowling, tennis, golf and downhill skiing. She loved her Green Bay Packers and her Wisconsin Badgers and attended games for both. Above all, Doreen was a caring friend. Throughout her life, she was always helping older friends with errands, visiting those that were lonely, and bringing a meal to those in need.
She will be celebrated for her life on Thursday, July 9 at Augusta Funeral Home at Noon. It will be followed by her burial and a light lunch. Visitation will be July 8 from 4-7 and July 9 from 11-Noon. She will be glad to have loved ones gather and get acquainted. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and so many loved ones.
