Dorothy Perkovich
Dorothy Jane Perkovich, 91, passed away at Silverleaf Assisted Living in Augusta, in hospice care and with loved ones and staff by her side, late Monday evening, November 24th, 2025.

Dorothy was born in rural Augusta, Wisconsin, to Adolph and Kathry (Wagner) Von Haden. She attended country school and later Augusta High School. On February 21st, 1953, she was united in marriage to Donald Perkovich at Grace Lutheran Church in Augusta. The couple lived for several years in Eau Claire before moving back to rural Augusta in 1963, where they purchased the Rodell Country School, converting it into their family home and business. Together, they established and operated Rodell Garage Repair and Wrecker Service for over 40 years.

Dorothy was a devoted partner in the family business in addition to raising her 4 children and several grandchildren.

In later years, she enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, playing bingo and looked forward to the many scratch-off tickets she received as gifts. She also enjoyed fishing with her husband Don, before his passing and there were many games of cards played around the kitchen table over the years.

Having grown up on Bartig Road on the family farm, she always held a deep appreciation for nature and the blessings provided by the good Lord.

Dorothy is survived by her 2 sons, Jim Perkovich of Anchor Point, Alaska; and Joe (Kris) Perkovich of Fall Creek; daughter Carol (Larry) Myhre of Augusta; daughter-in-law Taby Perkovich of Soldotna, Alaska; brother Jim Von Haden (Cheryl) of Fall Creek; sister Barbara Anderson of Cadott; sister-in-law Pat Von Haden of Chippewa Falls; many grandchildren, and her pride and joy, great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents: husband Don; son John; grandson Tyson Kelly; great-grandson Devean Hinton; sisters Irene (Elton) Collier, Mary (Don) Henke, and Esther (Ken) Stelter; brothers, Dean (Joy), Leonard, and John Von Haden; and brother-in-law Len Anderson.

In accordance with Dorothy’s wishes, there will be no public services.

The family would like to thank the staff at Silver Leaf and St. Croix Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for Dorothy while she was a part of their family. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

The family also would like to say, “ spend time with those you love and make memories while you can.”
