Troy Arthur Gribble
February 19, 1963 – May 9, 2025
Troy Arthur Gribble, age 62, of Cadott, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, May 9, 2025, from a heart-related incident.
Troy was born on February 19, 1963, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the son of George and Patricia “Patti” (Gauthier) Gribble. He was raised in Kenosha, where he attended local schools and graduated from Bradford High School in 1981.
Following graduation, Troy proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, serving his country for 12 years. Much of his service was spent aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, where he worked as a machinist’s mate and engineer. His time in the Navy allowed him to travel extensively—something he truly enjoyed.
Upon receiving his honorable discharge, Troy returned to Augusta, Wisconsin, where his parents had relocated. It was there he met Keri Lynn Champion. The two married in 1998 and built a life together that spanned several areas, including time on Lake Wissota, Nevada and Arizona, before returning to Augusta. They later lived in Kenosha for three years, then moved back to Augusta in 2013 to care for his ailing parents. After their passing, Troy and his family relocated to Cadott in July 2018.
Troy spent most of his working life as a professional truck driver, most recently driving for Mark’s Transport before health issues led to his retirement in 2017. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. In later years, as his health declined due to heart and hip issues, he found comfort in playing video games and spending time with his family and faithful canine companion.
Troy will be dearly missed by Keri his loving wife of 26 years; three children: Christian Gribble (fiancée Holly Hybben) of Woodbury, MN, Nicole Gribble of Menomonie, and Gerald Gribble of Cadott; two sisters: Terri Lee Gribble of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and Tammy Gribble of Kenosha, Wisconsin; half-sister Donna Gribble of Casper, Texas; and brother “Thor” Butch Gribble of Chippewa Falls.
Troy was preceded in death by his father, George (March 27, 2016); his mother, Patti (March 28, 2016); his infant son, Gerald Gribble; and half-brother, Gary Gribble.
A Celebration of Troy’s Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta. Military honors will be held during the celebration.
