Dan Schulz
Daniel Schulz, 45, of Augusta, passed away at the family farm on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, in the loving care of his family and Heartland Hospice.

Daniel John Schulz was born in Rochester, MN, on June 10, 1978, to Kurt and Cindy (Klees) Schulz. He was baptized at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Plainview, MN, on June 24, 1978, and was confirmed at St. Anthony's Catholic Church May 12, 1995. He lived the first ten years of his life in Plainview and moved with his parents and siblings to Augusta, WI, in June of 1988, graduating from Augusta High School in 1996.

Dan enjoyed farming, especially with his brother Brian. They had many good years of working together, always looking forward to fall harvest doing custom combining. In his free time he enjoyed golfing and also playing volleyball where he was known as Farmer Dan. He played with both family and friends and through it gained an abundance of more friends playing in leagues and tournaments throughout his entire adult life. He loved hiking and walking, but mostly loved spending time with his nieces and nephews any chance he could; taking them hiking/walking, to music in the park, out for ice cream and dinner (yes, ice cream first!) and loved having them ride with him in the tractor.

Dan will be dearly missed by his parents, Kurt and Cindy Schulz of Augusta, siblings, Bill (Brodi) Schulz of Altoona, Teri (Matt) Hagmann of Chippewa Falls, and Brian Schulz of Augusta; nephews, Brayden Hagmann, Beckett Berlin (Dan’s godchild), Peyton Berlin, Tripp Schulz; nieces, Riley Hagmann, Kaylee Hagmann, Breleigh Berlin and Reegan Schulz; grandparents, Art and Joyce Schulz of Elgin, MN. He is further survived by close friends, Scott, Chelsey and Levi Mayer, Paul Whaley, Nicki Lemmon and Morgan Reames, Corey Brown as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Phyllis Klees and Uncle Brian Schulz.

A funeral mass will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raymond’s of Penefort Catholic Church in Brackett with Father Greg Bohren officiating. A visitation will be held Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Augusta Lion Hall at 200 E. Lincoln St., Augusta and 2 hours prior to services Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to St. Jude’s Memorial Fund, an organization dear to Dan’s heart.  Click here to donate.
