Lauretta Lee
Lauretta Michele Lee, age 41, a devoted and loving mom and friend to all, passed away suddenly at her home in Augusta, early Friday morning, Feb 2, 2024.
Lauretta’s life revolved around her children, Austin Oium (Dean’a Hamman) and Christine Oium both at home; she is also survived by father William Lee of Eau Claire; mother Laura (Brown) Lee of Eagan, MN; grandmother to Austin and Christine Wanda Gorell of Eagan; step-son Robert Oium of Eagan; special friends Pearl, Kevin and Braxxton Grimm, and father of her children Robert Oium; other relatives and many other close friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Travis Lee in infancy.
Lauretta was born on April 4, 1982, in St. Paul, Minnesota, and raised in Inver Grove Heights, MN. It was there she attended grade school and graduated from Simley High School in 2000. She lived in South Saint Paul, Eagan, Alma, and Mondovi until she moved to Augusta five years ago. While in Augusta she worked as a personal care giver for Palmer House.
A time to visit with the family, share memories and say good bye to Lauretta will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.
