Chad Ladwig
Chad passed away Thursday evening, March 21, 2024, due to injuries sustain in an automobile accident in rural Eau Claire County. He had reached the age of 44 years, 2 month and 21 days.

Chad was born December 31, 1979, in Columbus, Wisconsin, the son of Niel and Christine (Peterson) Ladwig. He lived all of his life in Wisconsin, where as a small child he was raised in Randolph. After his parents divorced he moved with his mother to Tomahawk, where he enjoyed living in northern Wisconsin with all the hunting and fishing opportunities it had to offer.

On July 21, 2001, he was united in marriage to Amanda Olson in Fairchild. The couple lived briefly in Tomahawk before moving back to Fairchild and it was here that they raised their 2 sons, Charlie and Chase. After they divorced he married Amy Mohr (Dolan) on October 14, 2016, in Eau Claire. The couple had lived in Eau Claire before moving to Osseo.

Through the years Chad worked in different areas. He started as a masonry worker but eventually took an interest in semi driving. He had enjoyed the time he spent driving truck for Kostick Transport out of Holcombe. He was currently at Palmer Place in Augusta.
As a boy he enjoyed fishing at Spirit Falls with his grandfather and mother and in turn passed this love onto his own children. As a family with his sons they enjoyed fishing by the NSP Dam in Chippewa Falls, visiting other favorite fishing spots, hiking, camping and attending many of the Hatfield Flea Markets to see what dad was selling that day.

Another way in which Chad enjoyed the outdoors was through his motorcycle riding. He was also a good cook and when ever his family and friends were hosting a party or celebration, Chad’s Sloppy Joes were usually on the menu. With the right amount of brown sugar and condiments they were always made with love and perfection.

Chad will be deeply missed by his son, Charles (Hannah Sommers) Ladwig of Augusta; cherished granddaughter Violet; mother Christine Ladwig of Tomahawk; wife Amy of Osseo; and her children, Kaylee (Jeremiah Yarrington), Ivy, Logan and Natalie Mohr and Aubree Cowen all of Osseo; Amy’s grandchildren, Leigha and Brantley Yarrington.

He is further survived by Charlie and Chases’s mother Amanda Ladwig of Fairchild; children, Blake and Ethan Solie, Allana Anderson and their mother Jeanne Solie of Augusta; sister Tina (Chris) Johnson of Prentice; 2 nephews and niece, Dakota, Breydon and Jea`nn Johnson; other relatives and many friends.

Chad was preceded in death by his son Chase Ladwig on November 6, 2023; father Niel Ladwig; and grandparents, Donna and Donald Peterson.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, April 5, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.
