Virginia Holte
One of twelve children, Virginia Arlene Holte, daughter of Norman and Helen (Hanson) Severson was born February 28, 1945. She attended school in Osseo-Fairchild.

Virginia was united in marriage to Wayne Holte on May 13, 1967, at the Strum Lutheran Church. The couple lived in Strum, where they owned and operated Village Antiques before moving their inventory to Osseo and opening Osseo General Store. In 2004 they sold their home in Strum and moved to the Rindahl Valley area of rural Osseo.
After selling the store Virginia never really retired, as she continued to deal in antiques but now by way of the internet and EBay. For over 50 years antiques were her life, where long lasting friendships were made not only with the other dealers, she encountered but also those whom she met and visited with at all the numerous auctions she attended.
In March of 2020, Virginia moved into the city of Osseo. She only recently moved into the Dove Assisted Living in Osseo where she was in the care of Mayo Clinic Hospice. It was at the Dove that Virginia passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the age of 79 years, 1 month and 9 days.

Virginia will be dearly missed by her son, Trevor and Sherri of Apple Valley, MN; 4 grandchildren, Afton and Chad Vangsness of Chicago, IL, Ashley Holte (Dan) of Little Canada, MN, Laken Holte (Jackson) of Apple Valley, MN, Trey Holte of Austin, TX; 1 great grandchild, Vale Vangsness; siblings, Margaret Caucutt, Dorothy Hanson, Irvin (Nola) Severson, Jennifer Thompson, Gloria (Jeff Paulson) Severson, Jeffrey Severson, Delores Severson, and Daniel (Ana Maria) Severson; long-time friend Margaret “Smokey” Kirton; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Wayne, Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Helen Severson; and siblings, Frederick and Larry Severson and Janice Norman.

A private graveside service will be held in the South Beef River Lutheran Cemetery, rural Osseo.
