Barbara Trepczyk
Barbara Jean (Kemp Salo) Trepczyk, 76, of Augusta, WI passed away early Saturday, January 21st, 2023, surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her own home after a 9-month battle with pancreatic cancer. 

Barbara Jean was born to Edwin and Pearl (Halstead) Kemp on February 18th, 1946, in Lansing, Michigan. She was the only daughter (and third-born child) who was raised in Lower and Upper Michigan with five brothers: Ronald (Virginia), Duane (Kathy), Edwin (Priscilla), James (Tawney), and Steven (Sheila) Kemp. 
Barb will be dearly missed by her husband of 42 years, Alvin Trepczyk, who loved and faithfully cared for her until her last breath.

Barb was a beloved sister, cousin, aunt, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Barb was a loving mother of four children, Sherri (and Mark) Lindstrom, Linda (Patrick) Connors, David (and Lou) Salo, and Stephanie Salo and stepmother of Anthony Trepczyk (deceased) and Chad (and Dawn) Trepczyk. She was grandmother of 18: Jason Salo, Karen Poe, Craig Gallegos (deceased), Amie (Gallegos) Provenzano, Joshua Salo, Kimberly Salo, Tiffany Salo, Scott Lindstrom, Mae (Lindstrom) Helberg, Angel Lindstrom, Rachel Lindstrom, Samantha Trepczyk, Anthony Trepczyk, Johnny Marciulionis, Chelsea Trepczyk, Christopher Trepczyk (deceased), Chad Allen Trepczyk, and Ryan Mane. She was great-grandmother of 11: Lyvia Salo, Kiley and Natalie Poe, Craig and Jayden Salo, Gavin Poe, Gabby Spatzier, Caspian Salo, Austin Lindstrom, Ava Provenzano, and Astrid Lindstrom.  

Barbara spent the latter half of her life dedicated to following Jesus Christ’s teachings, spreading the Gospel, and reading her Bible. Known as a prayer warrior and woman of faith, Barb participated in many church-related volunteer activities, including choir, AWANA, bible camp counselor, and women’s ministries. Barb encouraged countless people by sending thoughtful cards and letters for all occasions. 

She had the gift of hospitality and blessed others with her welcoming spirit. With a contagious smile, Barb loved hosting parties, listening to music, playing cards, and dancing. She enjoyed decorating the house for every season, especially Christmas. She was a talented baker and known near and far for her homemade fudge, pies, and cookies. Barb will be dearly missed by family and friends alike.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 25th at 4 pm at Osseo Community Church, W15549 Gilbert Road, Osseo, WI, 54758. Flowers can be sent to Osseo Community Church. 

In lieu of flowers, a monetary donation can be made to Mayo Clinic Hospice.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for family and close friends in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in July 2023.
