Shane Scoville
Shane Scoville, 31, of Fairchild, passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday afternoon, March 14, 2023, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Shane was born April 1, 1991, in Neillsville, son of Mark and Loretta (Federman) Scoville. He was raised in Fairchild where he attended Fairchild Elementary School. While in school he enjoyed being a part of the wrestling program. Growing up, Shane could be found in the park playing basketball or ball tag and fishing with friends. In June the summer before he was to be a freshman at Osseo-Fairchild High School, Shane survived a near drowning accident. After his hospitalization he returned home where he received constant care. He lived briefly in a group home in Lake Wissota and for the last 2 years was a resident at the Dove Healthcare Vent Center in Chippewa Falls.

Shane will be deeply and dearly missed by his parents, Mark and Loretta; 3 brothers, Mark Richard of Fairchild, Christopher (Ivy) of Kenosha, Kyle (Mary) of Osseo; 1 sister, Kayla Scoville (Caleb Bourquin) of Eau Claire; nieces and nephews, Ethan, Kasey, Serenity, Cora, Annabella, Shirley and Zendaya; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Shane was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and JoAnn Federman and Richard and Crystal Scoville.

Shane’s family wishes to thank all the healthcare professionals who helped take care of Shane over all these years. They believe Shane will be with us always. He was good and true. A defender of the vulnerable who never backed down.

His confidence still strengthens us. He was fun-loving but often serious. Poetic and a jokester. Everyone loved him. He was bold, courageous, intense and caring. He loved his family. We will forever love him and we believe that we will find him again.

A visitation will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, where funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
