Susan Scheffer
Susan Jane Scheffer, born October 6, 1950, passed away Saturday June 24, 2023.
Sue was the second of eight children born to Bernard and Anne Scheffer, and grew up on the Scheffer farm in rural Humbird, WI. Sue attended Fairchild school and Saint Bedes high school graduating in 1968.
Sue gave birth to her daughters Tina and Lisa in 1975 and 1976. Sue was so proud of her daughters and did a wonderful job raising them as a single parent, while putting herself through nursing school and graduating with an LPN license. Sue worked many years as a nurse for a home healthcare company, Sacred Heart Hospital, and Marshfield Clinic.
Sue was naturally witty, caring, compassionate and empathetic towards her patients, friends, and family. She was a very proud grandma to her three grandsons. Sue loved talking about them and watching them grow.
Sue is survived by her daughters Tina Deeney (Evan, Cayden, and Rylan) and Lisa Scheffer. She is further survived by siblings Mary (Mike) Louie, Grays Lake, IL; Maggie Scheffer-Tiller, Iron Rover, MI; Doug (Joan) Scheffer, Humbird, WI; Jim (Patty Cuddy) New Auburn, WI; Barb (Dennis) Hardwick, Alma Center, WI; Carla (Dan) Sieg, Eau Claire, WI; and Michaela (Dave) Theiler, Humbird, WI. She was also a wonderful Aunt to sixteen nieces and nephews, and a genuine friend to many.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Anne Scheffer, and her nephew Ben Sieg.
A private memorial service will be held for family and close friends. A Celebration of Life is being planned for September.
