On Monday, July 31, 2023, William (Bill) F. Ruff, 83, of Fall Creek, WI, took his last breath on earth and his first in Heaven, with his daughter by his side and under the care of Promedica Hospice Care. Bill was born on July 24, 1940, to William & Ollie (Curler) Ruff, the oldest of four children. Bill was baptized & confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Seymour and had a strong faith in the Lord his whole life. He married his school sweetheart, Carol J. Huff, on July 31, 1965. The day Bill passed away, he joined Carol for their 58th Wedding Anniversary.

Bill worked at Ham's Hillside Dairy in rural Cadott as a milk hauler and bottler & also did excavation work on the side. Bill & Carol then moved to rural Fall Creek and he was self-employed as Ruff Excavating until his retirement. Bill loved this work.

Bill served 35 years as a trustee on the Zion Lutheran Church Board and served as a supervisor on the Ludington Town Board for 22 years.

He enjoyed animals, watching the birds, his beloved pets, fishing, cutting wood, gardening & canning, country western music, watching westerns, helping others and spending time with his family & friends.
