Kevin Morden
Kevin R. Morden, 64, of rural Fall Creek, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire.

Kevin, son of Clyde Morden Jr. and Betty (Nelson) Hanna was born on August 3, 1958, in Augsburg, Germany, where his father was stationed while serving in the U.S. Army. He attended various schools in Illinois and graduated from Kankakee High School. Kevin met Sheila Bailey, of Fall Creek, while she was attending college in Kankakee and the two later married on June 4, 1977, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Eau Claire. The couple lived in Eau Claire before moving to Fall Creek in 1992. Kevin, with the help of his father-in-law Bill Bailey, built their current home.

Kevin attended Chippewa Valley Technical College and there completed the auto mechanics, auto body, and truck driving programs. Over the years he worked for various employers as an auto mechanic, truck driver and in manufacturing. Due to failing health he retired in 2008.
Kevin truly enjoyed working on cars, especially his yellow '69 Plymouth GTX (The X). He owned this car since 1978, which he at one time drag raced, but mostly enjoyed taking it to various car shows in the area and in Minnesota. Attending the Chippewa Falls and Iola Car Shows were always a memorable time of year for him and his family. In the evenings and weekends, you could generally find him in his shop working on his own vehicles or helping out friends with theirs. When not in the shop, he was building model cars in his basement. No matter where Kevin was, he had the classic rock station cranked up on the radio. He also enjoyed road trips with his family and going with friends to retrieve old cars and car parts.

Kevin will be dearly missed by his wife Sheila; 2 daughters, Alexis (Jonathan) and Melina; 5 grandchildren, Hayden, Addyson, Nicholas, Curtis and Broghan; mother and step-father, Betty and Howard “Pat” Hanna; nephew Stephen Morden Jr and his family; sister-in-law, Ramona and Bryan and their family; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Clyde Jr; brother Stephen Sr; grandparents, Clyde Sr. and Edith Morden, Seth and Florence Nelson; special great uncle and aunt, Paul and Grace Elliott; grandchild, Lemondrop; father and mother-in-law, William and Barbara Bailey; brother-in-law, Allan Bailey; nephew, Charlie; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor David Benson and Rev Bruce Cadle on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Faith Evangelical Free Church in Fall Creek, with burial in the Ludington Annex Cemetery.

Friends may also call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Due to allergies the family request that no flowers be sent.
