Theresa Livingston
Theresa Livingston, 75, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, and friend to all, passed away peacefully on the evening of August 7th after a courageous three year battle with cancer. Gram T was very loved and will be greatly missed.

Theresa was born to the late Henry and Flora (Mansur) Kolpien on November 24, 1947 in Chippewa Falls, WI. She graduated from Chippewa Falls Senior High School in 1965. She met and married the late Michael Newton in 1967 and started her family in Brackett, WI.

Theresa cared deeply for her family, and created countless memories and family traditions. Her sense of humor was well known; funny cards and gag gifts were her specialty. She loved to spend time outdoors: creating family fishing challenges on Lake Eau Claire, tubing on Trout Lake, enjoying hours of screen porch and campfire conversations, and beach fun in Florida. She was always up for an adventure with her husband, Jerry, happily moving to new locations and creating new memories (and flower gardens!) along the way.

Theresa truly treasured her flower gardens and spent countless hours planting, weeding, and pruning each and every plant until she was surrounded by color and beauty. There wasn’t a plant that Theresa couldn’t save or name, and she happily shared her passion and knowledge of gardening with all. In the off season, a.k.a. winter in Wisconsin, Theresa honed her painting and crafting skills. She gifted our homes with countless wreaths, painted scenic landscapes, beautifully crocheted blankets, and treasured ornaments. Her “Grandma Room” was always filled with art supplies, crochet hooks and yarn, paintings, and puzzles.

Theresa is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jerry Livingston (Augusta, WI); daughters Stacey (Michael) Wanta, Green Bay, WI, and Melissa Newton, Orlando, FL; stepsons Duane Livingston, Chattanooga, TN, and David (Lynette) Livingston, Augusta, WI; treasured grandchildren Nicole Wanta (Charlotte, NC), Lauren Wanta (Milwaukee, WI), Catalina and Natalia Munoz-Newton (Orlando, FL), Michael, Matthew, and Marcus Livingston (Augusta, WI), Tresha (Anthony) Fink and Tracy (Matt) McGarry (Joplin, MO), CarlieDane Livingston (Salt Lake City, UT); and great-grandchildren Adaline, Mekhi, Jack, and Kane. She also leaves behind seven brothers and sisters with whom she shared years of love, mischief, music, and laughter.

She is preceded in death by husband Michael Newton, parents Henry and Flora Kolpien, and sister Janet Kolpien.

A private graveside burial will be held at St. John’s Cemetery in Fall Creek, WI. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society and/or Grace Lutheran Church (Augusta) in Theresa’s name.
