Elaine Huth
Elaine Huth, 82, formerly of Fall Creek, passed away Friday evening, December 8, 2023, with her family by her side at the Frontida Assisted Living in Colfax.

Elaine Charlotte Huth, daughter of Elmer and Mina (Shick) Pedersen was born on October 31, 1941, and raised in the Eau Claire area of Seymour Township. As a child she attended Seymour Country School and graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School in 1959.
In 1962, Elaine was united in marriage to Wyman Huth and the couple lived their married life in Seymour Township. After her divorce she continued to live in the township with her children until moving to Fall Creek in 1977. At this time with her love for baking she took a job at Elsie’s Café and continued at the café during the transfer of ownership to the Red Onion and then Madsen’s Café.

She later changed careers and for several years did in home childcare which she truly enjoyed. She was not only mom to her own children, but through the years took on that roll with her daycare children and also some her children’s friends. Her final job which she also enjoyed was working as the baker at the Kwik Trip on Spooner Avenue in Altoona. Here she not only baked but also decorated some of the sweets and especially enjoyed decorating for Halloween as she was a Halloween birthday girl.

In addition to her love for her family and baking, she was also a gifted artist. Her main focus was in sketching people, especially with a western theme but did veer off in other directions. One of her favorite drawings was the face of Jesus that she had hanging on her wall at the care center. She also enjoyed watching the Game Channel and Jeopardy on television and working cross word puzzles.
After becoming a grandmother her greatest joy in life was watching them grow and have families of their own. Kari, Darcey, Justin, Adrian, Mikenna, Alexandrea, Madeline, Kai, Hunter, Dylan, Cullen and Nick, her beloved grandchildren have all been blessed by having grandma Huth in their lives.

Elaine was a wonderful mother and role model for her children and their families. She will be dearly and deeply missed by her 3 children, Matthew and Chris Huth of Harlingen, TX, Jarred and Melinda Huth of Chippewa Falls, Nicole and Robert Hicks of Eau Claire; 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; and sister Etta Duehlmeier of Seymour Township. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Curtis on November 23, 2019; 2 grandsons, Jake Brown and Nicholas Murphy; and siblings, Eunice and Esten Pedersen.

A Celebration of Elaine’s life will he held Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, where a service of remembrance will be held at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor Jordan Herrick officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Northside Lutheran Cemetery in Eau Claire.
