Kenton Dodge
Kenton Lee Dodge age 70, went to his heavenly home on August 16th, 2023.

He was born August 2, 1953 to Russell and Ione (Ellefson) Dodge in Rice Lake, WI. He joined two older brothers Jeffrey and Stuart Dodge. Kent was a lifelong and proud Norwegian in the Osseo community after moving from Rice Lake with his family at the age of three. He graduated from Osseo Fairchild high school in 1971. He was an adoring and devoted husband to Melody. They celebrated a wonderful marriage of 50 years.

Kent was a devoted, kind and caring Dad and Bumpa. He had such a big heart and was always willing to lend a hand to others in need. Growing up in Osseo, Kent had many lifelong friendships that he treasured. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He was passionate about family, friends, making the best homemade soup, the Green Bay Packers, deer hunting, golf and Karuba coffee. He loved playing cards with his friends and was usually seen sporting a Merchants baseball or Green Bay Packer cap. He never met a stranger and always reached out to offer a handshake and invite others into a conversation. He enjoyed his “coffee clutch” with the guys and was always open to a conversation about the world or local news.

Kent was an active member of the United Church of Christ, a Merchants Baseball board member and an active fundraiser for the Merchants team. He served on the City Council for six years.

In high school Kent worked as a gas attendant for the Osseo DX and Rongstad’s Standard Station in Osseo. He was a certified welder 1973-1980 employed by Trempealeau Manufacturing, Nelson Muffler and Beloit Corporation. From 1980 to 2000 he was a Dairy Plant Field Representative. From 1990-2011 Kent became a Real Estate sales associate and owned his own business as a Certified Residential Appraiser.
