Jane Baldwin, 81, formerly of Augusta, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday evening March 29, 2023, at her home in West Bend, WI.
Lila Jane Kuehn was born Jan. 30, 1942, to Frank and Gertrude (Dehnke) Kuehn. She grew up with her 6 siblings on the family farm in Otter Creek Township, rural Augusta. She was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Augusta and attended Russell Corner Country School through the 8th. grade. In 1960 following her graduation from Augusta High School she moved to Milwaukee and worked as a waitress until taking a job with Power Products in Grafton, where she worked for nearly 40 years. Most of her career with the company was working as an inspector of the small engines they manufactured.
On October 17, 1964, she was united in marriage to Gerald Baldwin also at Grace Lutheran Church and to this union her son Todd was born. The couple lived outside of West Bend and after their divorced she moved into the city of West Bend.
Over the years Jane had enjoyed Women’s League Bowling, traveling throughout the United States with family and friends, and lately watching sporting events on television.
Jane will be dearly missed by her son Todd Baldwin of West Bend; 2 sisters, Elaine Krause and Grace Steinke both of Eau Claire; sister-in-law, Mary (Dick) Riley of Rock Dam; several nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her father Frank in June of 1952 when she was just 10 years old; mother Gertrude in March of 1977; brothers, Harvey, Melvin, Charles (Donna and Arlene), Franklin (Nathlie) Kuehn; brothers-in-law, Jerome Steinke and Harold Krause.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with Pastor Jonathan Wessel officiating.
Burial will be in the spring in the West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta. Friends may call 1 hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
