Sean Gurnee
Sean G. Gurnee, 51, of Pigeon Falls, passed away Dec. 29, 2021, at Gunderson Hospital in LaCrosse, with his wife Nancy by his side.

Sean Gavin Gurnee, son of Terrance Gurnee and Penny (Frazee) Gurnee was born Sept. 6, 1970, in Garden Grove, California.  At the age of two he moved with his parents to Michigan and in 1980 he and his mother moved to the Levis area of rural Fairchild. Sean attended Osseo-Fairchild Schools, where he graduated in 1989.  Following graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army and upon his honorable discharge he returned to the Osseo area.  Sean was united in marriage to Nancy Jean Kirchoff on Aug. 23, 1997, in Whitehall.  The couple lived for a short time in Independence before purchasing their home in Pigeon Falls.  Sean had worked at the Oasis in Osseo and as a line supervisor at Ashley Furniture before taking a position with API (American Phoenix Inc.) in Eau Claire.   Due to health conditions he retired there while in a supervisory position.

Sean enjoyed living in Wisconsin where the hunting was plentiful, but more important to him was all the different areas he could go fishing.  He loved fishing so much that he even made his own plastic baits.   With his mounting health problems, he was still able to enjoy the many road trips around the area that he took with his wife. He loved watching football and college basketball. He will be remembered as a man with a great sense of humor who loved his family and friends dearly.

Sean will be dearly missed by his loving wife Nancy ; son Sean Gurnee of Pigeon Falls; 2 daughters, Amber (Bobby) Williams of Winona, MN,  and their son Gavin,  Samantha Krienke (Alex Klopp) and their daughter Kaylee of Menomonie; father Terrance Gurnee of Godfrey, IL; several aunts, uncles and cousins; his Kirchoff family-Nancy’s parents, Dave and Jeanne Kirchoff of Augusta; her siblings, Angie (Dan) Solie, Dale (Shana) Kirchoff, Bill Kirchoff all of Augusta, Cory Kirchoff (Melissa) of Altoona, Scott (Wendy) Kirchoff of Augusta; several nieces and nephews. His American Phoenix family and his many, many cherished friends.

Sean was preceded in death by his mother Penny Gurnee on May 1, 2015 and grandparents.
