Luke Johnson
Luke A. Johnson, 26, of rural Fairchild, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 1, 2020, as a result of a motorcycle accident on County Road H, rural Fairchild. 

Luke, the youngest of 4 siblings was born to Miles and Dawn (LaRose) Johnson on July 16, 1993, in Eau Claire. He lived most of his life at his present home, attended school in Augusta and graduated from Augusta High School with the class of 2012. Since high school he had been employed at the Express Mart in Augusta, Howard’s Furniture in Osseo, and Cummings Filtration in Neillsville. Since September of last year he had been working at WB Wood Products in Thorp. Luke was engaged to Cathryn Hangartner and the two were to be united in marriage on Saturday, July 11, 2020. Luke enjoyed spending time with his friends, working and riding on motorcycles both large and small, and fishing. 

One of his favorite hobbies was watching movies as he had a huge video collection, with a keen interest in the Marvel characters. Luke had a pleasant and caring personality and never shied away from engaging with a group of strangers. He had an ability to accomplish more than he gave himself credit for and if he had an interest in something he pursued it. He was an amazing uncle to his beloved nieces.Luke was taken from his family and friends far too soon and will be deeply missed by them. 

He is survived by his parents, Miles and Dawn of Fairchild; fiancé Cathryn of Fairchild; 3 sisters, Amanda Johnson of Durand, Samantha Johnson of Fairchild, Allysa (Andy) Kelton of Morgan, MN and her daughters, Chloe, Lila and Mara his maternal grandmother, Mary LaRose of Fairchild; paternal grandfather, Arlen Johnson of Fairchild; aunts and uncles, Robin LaRose, Andrea Jackson, Leslie LaRose, Kermit (Audrey )Johnson, Daphne Phelps; other relatives and friends. 

Luke was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward “Joe”LaRose and June Johnson. 

A celebration of Luke’s life will be held Saturday, July 11, 2020, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Grand Occasions located at W16181 US 10, Osseo, WI
