John Tellis
John F. Tellis, 76, of Augusta, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. 

John was born Aug. 19, 1942, in Mankato, MN, the son of Clarence and Lucille Tellis. Shortly after his birth the family moved to San Francisco, CA.He was raised and attended school in San Francisco before moving to San Diego. While in San Diego he met Patrice Bedell and the couple were later married on Dec. 27, 1972, in Reno, Nevada. The couple lived in California where John owned and was an instructor with National Driving School. In 1989 the family moved to Bridge Creek Township, rural Augusta, and at this time he started his semi truck driving career. He had driven for Roehl Transport and before retiring 4 years ago, he was delivering pontoons for Premier Marine out of Wyoming, Minnesota. John enjoyed working in his shop were he loved building trailers, he enjoyed 4 wheeling, reading and watching old movies and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.  

John will be dearly missed by Pat, his loving wife of 46 years; daughter, Jacqueline (Mike) Berry of Hixton; 2 sons, John (Tina) Tellis, and Jeff (Sheri) Booten all of Escondido, CA; 8 grandchildren, Ashley, Stephanie, Luke, Grace, Nicole, Drake, Adrian and Rachel; Pat’s siblings, Elizabeth (Phil) Kurtz of Katy, TX, Frank Bedell of Algonquin, IL, Victor Bedell of Harris, MN, Dean Bedell of Fairchild, Raymond (Patricia) Bedell of Alambama, Lila Niederstadt of New Richmond, WI, Shirley (Jim) Grunewald of Augusta, Bonita (Fred) Hoyme of Montello, Margaret (Gale) 
Johnson of Trego, Sharon Kaufman of Fairchild, Robin (Nancy) Bedell of Eau Claire; several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents; son Robert John Tellis in 1986; and brothers-in-law, Greg and Leroy Bedell. 

A visitation will be held Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta. Private memorial services will be held at the funeral home.
