John Woodford
John Woodford, 74, of Osseo, passed away Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire. 

 John “Jack” Leslie Woodford, son of Leslie and Beatrice (Prince) Woodford was born August 30, 1943 in Eau Claire. He was raised with his sister in the Cleghorn area where he attended grade school and Memorial High School in Eau Claire. For 32 years John worked as a mechanist in Aurora, Illinois, and for 10 years also owned and operated a hauling and clean up business in Aurora. In 1990 he moved back to Wisconsin and lived with his parents before purchasing his home in Osseo. While in Osseo he drove semi for Monson Trucking out of Red Wing, MN. In 1994 he was injured in a tornado while driving truck in Iowa, his injuries were so severe that it forced him to take an early retirement. For 22 years John was active in the Moose Lodge in Aurora. He was a loyal Green Bay Packer fan and a life long Cubs fan. In his youth and up until his accident he had enjoyed fishing and especially dancing. 

John is survived by his 2 sons, John and Anna Woodford of Leland, IL, Brian and Mona Woodford of Weyerhaeuser; 3 daughters, Lorri and Jeff Dehnhoff of Colfax, Angie and Steve Kolstad of Osseo, Jennifer Woodford-Walker (John Balika) of Mondovi; sister, Barbara and James Miller of Lake Haves City, AZ; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents.  

A visitation will be held Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with graveside services being held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery in Eau Claire.
