Yevette Solie
Yevette Marie Solie, daughter of Lonnie Sr. and Joyce (Naus) Solie was born June 9, 1971 in Eau Claire.

Yevette was raised in Fairchild were she attended Fairchild Elementary School. In 1986 she moved with her family to Augusta. Yevette was baptized at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Boyd, received First Communion at St. John’s Catholic Church in Fairchild, and was confirmed at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Augusta. It was at St. Anthony’s that she was united in marriage to Mark Thorson on July 22, 2000. After their marriage the couple moved to Stanley. She eventually moved to Chippewa Falls and after traveling for a time she returned to rural Fairchild where she had lived for the past few years. Yevette enjoyed being a stay at home mom to her sons. She wasn’t crazy about the Wisconsin winters but thoroughly enjoyed the summers and being outside with her boys, spending time swimming, playing or working in her flower gardens. During theschool year she loved attending school and sporting events the boys participated in. You could often find Yevette in her kitchen creating a new dish or baking up not onlya delicious dessert, but one that was also pleasing to the eyes. In her youth she loved the solitude when curled up with a book from the Anne of Green Gable series or the Boxcar Children, but also enjoyed wrestling while in elementary school.

Yevette will be dearly missed by her 4 sons, Alfred Solie (Amanda Monarski) of Menomonie, Arron Solie of Iowa, Alan Solie of LaCrosse and Alexander Solie of EauClaire; 10 grandchildren, Kylee, Izaak, Raegan, Owen, Maddox, Maxxwell, Payton, Gracie, Elliot and Emmet; her parents, Lonnie Sr. and Joyce Solie of Augusta; sister,Lucinda Solie of Bloomer; 4 brothers, Lonnie Solie Jr. (Casey Fitzke) of Cadott, Daniel (Angie) Solie of Fall Creek, Matthew Solie (Kelly Rubenzier) of Weyerhaeuser, Lucas Solie of Altoona; special companion Joe Flick of Fairchild; special friend Bev Thorson of Arcadia; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
