LeRoy Rindahl
LeRoy Duane Rindahl, 78, of rural Augusta passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday evening, Jan. 25, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire.

Lee Rindahl, son of Leonard and Agnes (Lokken) Rindahl was born March 8, 1939 in rural Osseo. He was baptized and confirmed at South Beef River Lutheran Church. He attended a country school and graduated from Osseo High School in 1957. Lee was united in marriage to Zoe Ann Turner on March 29, 1958 and to this union their threechildren were born. He later married Kathleen Conley on June 27, 1986. Since 1958 he lived near Lake Eau Claire just 5 miles north of Augusta. Lee was proud of his 39 years of employment with Eau Claire County on the road crew and retired in 1997. He not only worked outdoors but also enjoyed spending his free time outside. He loved taking care of his lawn and working in his numerous flower and vegetable gardens. Lee also enjoyed hunting, cross country skiing, biking,taking his grandchildren for Gator rides, and he took excellent care of whatever Ford truck he had. Over the years he had many petsthat he grew fond of. He had many good friends andshared a mutual respect with those friends. Lee’s family, friends, and extended relatives meant the world to him. He looked forward to hunting with family, cook-outs on the bluff, as well as a friendly game of cards. He loved attending any events his grandchildren were in. Being a grandfather was one of his greatest joys. 

  Lee will be dearly missed by his 7 children, Sandra Kallas of Pontiac, IL, Randy Rindahl of Sioux Falls, S.D., Kathy (Terry) Kuhnert of Fall Creek, CW3 US Army Retired Eric (Miranda) Ries of Lacey, WA, Carrie (Kyle) Hammer of Mahtomedi, MN, Stacey (Scott) Randall of Augusta, Rebecca Romans (Michael Bechtel) of Rogers, MN; 20 grandchildren, Josh, Chris, Nick, Ashley, Chelsea, Benjamin, Daniel Lee, Ericka, Macenzie, Cameron, Ayden, Elsie, Emelia, Easton, Abby, Michael, Zachary, Ellie, Macie, Izaak; 10 great grandchildren, Tyler, Brad, Alexis, Jeanae, Cody, Ryan, Kiersten, Bransen, Mason, Nora; 1 great great grandson Ayden.; 2 sisters, Carol Watenphul of Augusta, Julie (Ronnie) Bjorgo of Strum; brother Jimmy (Jackie) Rindahl of Osseo; other relatives and many friends. 

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Agnes; great granddaughter baby Kallas; 2 brothers, David and Ronald Rindahl; nephew Scott Rindahl; 2 nieces, Debbie Pettis and Tonya Bjorgo. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29, 2018 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.  

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with a visitation 1 hourprior to services. Burial will be later that day in South Beef River Lutheran Church Cemetery. 

  Lee instilled in his children a lot of wisdom, gardening skills and the value of a good work ethic.
