Patricia Noel
Patricia Joann Noel, 79, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family at her bedside early Friday morning September 14, 2018.
Patricia, daughter of Lawrence and Geneva (Audorff) Smith was born July 14, 1939, in Chippewa County. As a child she attended The White School in Ludington and graduated from Augusta High School. Patricia was united in marriage to Edward William Noel on Dec. 17, 1960 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ludington Township, rural Augusta. For the first year of their married life the couple lived in Waterloo, Iowa, where Patricia worked for a local hotel. They returned to Wisconsin and briefly farmed in Ludington Township, also south of Cadott and in the Brackett area before moving to their farm in rural Augusta . For a few years Patricia had also worked at the Allen House in Osseo, until ill health forced her retirement. .Patricia was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1973 and faithfully served her creator until she fell asleep in death with the future hope of being reunited with her family and friends on a paradise earth free from death, tears, and pain.Patricia was a very loving and thoughtful wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a quiet soul and wasn’t one to share a lot of information or feelings about herself , as she was more interested in paying attention to others. Her faith and her family were the most important things in her life and spending time with family meant the world to her. In recent years when her health was failing, no matter how much pain she was in or how weak she felt, she would muster up the strength to smile and enjoy the company of those who came to visit her. In addition to tending to her family, she loved music and dancing; especially the polka; as well as gardening and growing flowers. Roses were one of her favorites. A bouquet picked by her husband always brought joy to her heart.
Patricia will be dearly missed by Edward, her devoted and loving husband of 57 years; her mother Geneva Smith of Augusta; 3 sons, Patrick (Roxanne) Noel of Augusta, Edward Noel Jr. of Eau Claire, Loren “Charlie” Noel of San Diego, CA; 3 daughters, Debra (Shawn) Davey, Christine (Mike) Olson, Beth (Joe) Golisch all of Eau Claire; 12 grandchildren, Patrick Jr, Ethan, Aaron and Emily Noel, Megan (Menos) Evans, Michael and Jared Noel, Kayla Lombard, Ellyanna and Benjamin Davey, Lauren Noel and Chayse Olson; 2 great granddaughters Ava & Brynnlee Evans; 4 brothers, Jerry (Dorothy) Smith of Atlanta, GA, Lawrence Smith of Osseo, Dennis (Barbara) Smith of Augusta, Brian Smith of Osseo; 2 sisters, Judy Steinke of Osseo, Brenda Smith of Augusta; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Patricia was preceded in death by her father Lawrence on Oct. 13, 1993; and daughter-in-law, Rosemary Noel.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 3400 Horlacher Lane, Eau Claire, WI. Friends may call 1 hour prior to services Saturday at the Kingdom Hall.
