Judy Jones Knuth
Judy Jones Knuth, 63 of Augusta, passed away at her home in the care of her loving family and St. Joseph’s Hospice early Saturday morning, Dec. 15, 2018.
Judy Ann Jones Knuth, daughter of Frank and Josephine (Shelton) D’Andrea was born Oct. 17, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois. Judy was raised in Chicago where she attended school and graduated from Tuley High School in 1973. Judy moved to Augusta 35 years ago and after moving to Augusta she was trained as a certified nursing assistant and worked as a CNA for the Eau Claire County Health Department.In 1997 she was united in marriage to Donald Knuth and they made their home in Augusta until he passed away in 1999. Judy loved spending time with her 3 children and 4 grandsons. She was also fond of gardening and often planted 200 tomato plants each year and ended up canning her bountiful harvest.
Judy will be dearly missed by her 3 children, Luis and Karina Mercado of Augusta, Ashley and Larry Pittman and Sara Connett all of Osseo; 4 grandsons, Luis IV and Devin Mercado, Larry and Lucas Pittman. She is further survived by her siblings, Don (Ann) Jones of Fairchild, Patty (Marvin) Sauter of Chicago, Billy (Liz) Jones of Minooka, IL; brother-in-law, John Basso of Berwyn, IL; many nieces, nephews, friends, and long time friend and caregiver Patricia Berlin of Augusta.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Josephine; siblings, Connie Basso, Bobbie Jones and Leonard Jones, and sister-in-law, Helen Jones.
A visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dale Hazard officiating.
Burial will be at a later date in the West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta.
