Lauri Bruder
Lauri Denise Bruder was born May 22, 1962, the daughter of Denny and Cheryl (Rand) Albrecht .
She was raised in Ashton, Illinois, where she graduated from Ashton High School in 1980. Following high school she attended Rockford Business College and attained an Associate Degree as a Certified Medical Assistant. With this degree she was employed at the Order of St. Francis Hospital in Rockford, Illinois for 16 years. Lauri was united in marriage to Scott Bruder in Sept of 1999 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ashton. The couple lived in Rockford until moving to Augusta in 2015 where they built their home. Since moving to Augusta, Lauri had worked as a phlebotomist for Mayo Clinic Health System- Oakridge in Osseo.
Lauri will be deeply missed by her husband Scott; half brother, Jason Castell of Tampa, Florida, and his daughter Daphney; father and mothers-in law, Dean and Vicki Bruder of Augusta, Judy Lynd of Altoona; brothers-in-law, Clifford and Audra Bruder, Dan and Sheena Bruder all of Augusta, Randy and Amanda Bruderof Stevens Point; God son, Talon Garcia of Rockford, IL; long time friends, Jillian Ersland of Rockford, Tom and Martha Holder of Ashton, Rhonda and Lucas Starr of Rochelle, IL; nieces and nephews. Lauri was preceded in death by her parents, Denny and Cheryl.
Lauri loved going to auctions, tending to her home and spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking, always trying out a new recipe. Her favorite pastime was riding 4-wheeler, and the muddier it was the better she loved it, and the more family and friends that shared the adventure with her only made it more special.
In keeping with her passion for getting together with loved ones; a celebration of Lauri’s life will be held Saturday afternoon, July 21, 2018 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.
