Donald Kensmoe
Donald L. Kensmoe, 79, of Augusta, passed away Sunday evening December 31, 2017 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
Donald Lawrence Kensmoe, son of Lawrence and Gerda (Lima) Kensmoe was bornApril 29, 1938 in Eau Claire. He was raised in Eau Claire where he graduated from Memorial High School. On March 17, 1963 he was united in marriage to SueLoibl in Stillwater, Minnesota, and to this union their two sons were born. The couple lived in Eau Claire until moving to Augusta in 1966. Don worked as a truckdriver and the majority of his career he drove for Chippewa Motor Freight. In 1989 he started with Augusta Housing as their maintenance caretaker. Don enjoyed fishing around the Augusta area and watching different sporting events.
He will be dearly missed by his sons, Jeff and Natalie Kensmoe of Warrior, Alabama, Steve Kensmoe of Janesville; 2 grandchildren, Bryn and Aemelia Kensmoe of Warrior; and Jeff and Steve’s mother, Sue Kensmoe of Augusta. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Gerda; and siblings Judy Barney and Jim Kensmoe.
