Ruth Jenkins
Ruth A. Jenkins, 63, of Eau Claire, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
Ruth Ann Jenkins, daughter of Merlin and Florence (Markham) Klickner was born Sept. 2, 1953 in Menomonie, WI. She was raised in Menomonie before moving to Eau Claire with her family in 1957. Ruth attended St. Patrick’s Elementary School andRegis High School. Following her high school education she attended secretarial classes at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire. Ruth was united in marriage to Kenneth Jenkins on Feb. 20, 1990 in Danville, IN. Thecouple lived most of their married life in Eau Claire, where she had worked as a secretary at UW Eau Claire until ill health forced her retirement.
Ruth will be dearly missed by Ken, her husband of 27 years; daughter, Janelle Carlson of Eau Claire; 2 brothers, Roy and Kathy Klickner of Elk Mound, Nicholas Klickner of Chippewa Falls; and sister, Mary Irwin of Eau Claire. She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter Tamara Jenkins.
A visitation will be Wednesday, June 21, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Apostolic Church, in Elk Mound, WI. Funeral services will be held at 7:30p.m. Wednesday at the church.
