John Hamman
John W. Hamman, 86, formerly of Osseo, passed away Monday, May 29, 2017 at the Mayo Clinic Health System Oakridge-Osseo.
John William Hamman, son of Peter and Millicent (Warner) Hamman was born in Wilson Township, Eau Claire County on Dec. 3, 1930. He was raised in Wilson Township and attended Grandview Country School.As a young man John moved to Waukesha, WI, where he worked in a foundry. In May of 1969 he was united in marriage to Theresa Schulz-Robbin. The couple lived in Waukesha until John retired in 1987, and then moved to Osseo. Due to ill health John had been a resident of the Strum Nursing Home.
He is survived by 4 nieces and 1 nephew; Karen (Greg) Sieg of Osseo, John Taylor (Karen) of Augusta, Linda Leonard (Jason Kautzer) of Thorp, Alice (Doug) Zimbauer of Augusta, Pamela Taylor of Eau Claire; and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Theresa; and sister Helen Taylor-Audorff.
A visitation will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta. Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Edson Cemetery in Boyd.
