Leroy Bedell
Leroy G. Bedell, 77 of Fairchild, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
Leroy George Bedell, son of Everett and Eva (Sackett) Bedell was born March 3, 1939 in rural Fairchild. Leroy was raised in the Fairchild area where he attended school and later served in the United States Army.Leroy was united in marriage to Patricia Walker and to this union their two children were born. Helater married Marlene McMetcalf. Leroy continued to live all his life in the Fairchild and surrounding area. For many years he drove semi truck and after he retired from trucking he worked for the village of Fairchild for several years. Over the years he enjoyed working in his gardens and visiting with family and friends.
Leroy is survived by his wife, Marlene of Fairchild; daughter Paula Heath of Altoona; son Wayne (Jennifer) Bedell of Wheeling, IL; 5 grandchildren, Jasmine Bedell, Tiffany Heath, Ashley Heath, Austin Bedell and Alexandra Bedell; 3 great grandchildren, Aaliyah Bedell, Treyvon Brown, Wyatt Hoekstra; brothers, Elizabeth (Phil) Kurtz of Katy, TX, Frank Bedell of Algonquin, IL, Patrice (John) Tellis of Fairchild, Victor Bedell of Harris, MN, Dean Bedell of Fairchild, Raymond (Patricia) Bedell of Arkansas, Lila Niederstadt of New Richmond, WI, Shirley (Jim) Grunewald of Augusta, Bonita (Fred) Hoyme of Montello, Margaret (Gale) Johnson of Osseo, Sharon Kaufman of Fairchild, Robin (Nancy) Bedell of Eau Claire; several nieces and nephews.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Diane Bedell in Infancy and Greg Bedell.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with services at 5:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fairchild Cemetery.
