Marion Zillmer
Marion V. Zillmer, 79, of Osseo, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Pine View Care Center in Black River Falls.  

Marion Virginia Zillmer daughter of Oluf and Elva (Fleckinger) Johnson was born Feb. 26, 1937 in Osseo. She was raised in Osseo where she was baptized, confirmed and married at Osseo Lutheran Church, attended grade school and graduated from Osseo High School in 1955. While roller skating at the rink in Osseo she met Alvin Zillmer of Augusta, and the two eventually married on Nov. 13, 1956. The couple liveda few years in Wauwatosa before moving to Milwaukee, where they lived 17 years, andthen to Brookfield in the late 1970’s. In 1986 they moved to their home on Lake Eau Claire just north of Augusta, and in 1991 moved to their present home in Osseo. Marion loved her role as housewife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed her time living on the lake, driving her convertibles and seeking out antiques. She was also an avid golfer and she and Al spent many enjoyable hours together on the various courses.

Marion will be dearly missed by Al, her beloved husband of 60 years; 3 sons, Eddie Zillmer of Osseo, Kenneth (Karen) Zillmer of Milwaukee, Jim Zillmer of West Allis; 6 grandchildren, Stephanie and Matt Zillmer, Chris and Jamie Zillmer, Kathy (Spencer) Pinkston, Jami Wallace; 2 step children; Ashley Holley, Danny Woitekaitis; 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Caren Sieg of Eau Claire, Luella Adams of Florala, Alabama;and brother-in-law, Elmer (Lucy) Zillmer of Mayville. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brothers-in-law, Carlee and WaldoJohnson, Louie Adams; and one great granddaughter. 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Augusta, with Pastor Jonathan Wessel officiating. Burial will be in the Osseo Cemetery. Friends may call 1 hour before services Tuesday at the church. The family is assisted by the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.
