Shirley Taylor
Shirley J. Taylor, 74, of Beloit , WI, a devout catholic departed this earthly life on Saturday, March 12, 2016.
She was born April 9, 1941 in Ironwood, MI, the daughter of Anton John and Helia (Wittamen) Chouinard. Shirley married Dayle R. Taylor Sr. on June 21, 1956 in Ishpeming , MI . They were a couple that stuck together like glue a bond never to be broken.
Shirley was employed for 30 years at Chrysler Corporation, Belvidere , IL . She was also an owner and operator of D&S Guns and Ammo. After retirement she managed Stateline Liquors for many years. She was a patient, understanding, intelligent and strong women. A puzzle fanatic, she loved to crochet, farm and could hunt better then most men.
Survivors include her best friend and loving husband of 59 years, Dayle Taylor Sr.; children, Peter (Debra) Taylor, Lawrence Taylor, Dayle Taylor Jr., Patricia ( Taylor ) Spencer, Gloria Taylor, Chereé (Robin) Taylor, and Susan (Rick) Julsen; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and one brother James Chouinard.
She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Clarence, William and Edward, sisters Marion (Chouinard) Ramme and Antoinette Marie (Chouinard) Tarr.
Funeral service for Shirley will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road , Beloit , WI . Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Visitation will also be from 12:00 until 1:30 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home 312 South Stone Street, Augusta , WI, followed by a graveside service at East Lawn Cemetery , Augusta , WI .
