Wanda Ann "Annie" Stanford, 73, of Fairchild, WI, passed away on Saturday November 5th, 2016, surrounded by her family.
Annie was born on July 8, 1943 in Prescott, Arkansas, daughter of Dow Washington & Eva Mary (Marshall) Rushing. Annie was preceded in death by her mother, father, and grandmother Bertha Marshall. She will be dearly missed by her daughter April (Stacy) Tanner of Fairchild, WI: two grandchildren, Jeremy (Brittany) McPherson of Fairchild, & Zachary Tanner of Fairchild; two great grandchildren Jazmyn & Auzlyn McPherson.
Annie lived and worked as a waitress in Las Vegas, Nevada for 20 years before moving to Fairchild, WI in 1990. Annie loved spending time with family & friends. She enjoyed sewing, reading and puzzles. She had a great sense of humor and had a smile for everyone. With her childlike voice, she always knew what to say to brighten your day. She was patient, generous, andhad the kindest soul. She will be greatly missed by those she touched. Our lives are richer for knowing and being loved by her.
A memorial service celebrating Annie’s life will be held Thursday evening, November 10, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fairchild Church of Hope in Fairchild, with Pastor Don Conklin officiating. Friends may call 1 hour priorto services Thursday at the church.
The family is assisted by the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.
