In addition to raising her family and helping on the farm Dorie was also employed for several years by Kmart in Eau Claire, working in all departments. Dorie loved spending time outdoors tending to her abundant vegetable and beautiful flower gardens. This loved for the outdoors encouraged her to capture it through photography. She also loved fishing, working with ceramics and the various pets they raised over the years. Dorie was the mother of 3 and also the neighborhood adopted mom to many. She loved having a house full of children, especially when playing cribbage, other card and various board games. In her own way she tried helping the children whenever she could and this concern lead to her involvement with the Rodell Busy Bees 4H Club, where she served as a leader.

Dorie will be dearly missed by Duane, her husband of 56 years; daughter, Lisa and Brian Williamsen of Green Bay; 2 step brothers, Ernest (Vicki) Vogler of Eau Claire, Marten Loftsgordon of Augusta; 4 step sisters, Arlene (Dale) Potts of Chippewa Falls, Linda Loftsgordon, Diane (Alan) Watenphul, Laurie Hahn all of Augusta; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
