Everett Lambrecht
Everett L. Lambrecht, 72, of Eau Claire, WI, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Everett was the son of Edwin & Vivian (Wiese) Lambrecht and was born May 5, 1944, in Eau Claire.

Everett was raised in Augusta where he was baptized and confirmed in the name of the Triune God at Grace Lutheran Church. He graduated from Augusta High School in 1962, and following graduation he enlisted in the United States Army. Everett was united in marriage to Jeanne E. Hehl of Altoona on June 10, 1967, also at Grace Lutheran Church in Augusta. Everett & Jeanne lived in the Augusta area for 39 years before moving to Eau Claire in 2006.

Everett first worked as Augusta Superintendent of Public Works and served on the local volunteer fire department before working in Eau Claire as a foreman on water and sewer construction. Later, Everett worked the majority of his career for Brunzlick Trucking of Augusta as a “Professional Tourist” and, after retirement, for Penske Truck Rental of Eau Claire.
Over the years Everett had enjoyed snowmobiling, making maple syrup, cutting wood, camping, attending car shows, and restoring his ‘58 Impala and Super C tractor. In his retirement, Everett developed a keen interest in riding mopeds and collecting toy tractors. He and Jeanne enjoyed traveling road trips together and had travelled most of the United States several times over. He also enjoyed going out to eat, playing Contract Rummy, working Sudoku puzzles, and watching old time TV shows.

The end of August marked Everett’s 10 year anniversary of sobriety which he celebrated with AA friends at a meeting and with his son and daughter-in-law at home the evening before he passed. AA had a special place in Everett’s life where he went from being needy to being a ‘grandpa’ mentor. Even with all the ups and downs, he knew it was his faith in Jesus Christ that sustained him and provided a faith for others to look up to.

Everett will be dearly missed by many, especially his son & daughter-in-law, Rev. Jeffrey & Lara Lambrecht of Edgar; 2 brothers, Victor Lambrecht (Sharon Peterson) of Madison, Clarence (Jeanne) Lambrecht of Hewitt; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends of AA.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents Edwin & Vivian (Wiese) Lambrecht; half-brother Gordon Wiese; and his wife Jeanne this past September 7, 2015.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, and Thursday, Sept. 8, from 9:30 a.m. until noon at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eau Claire with funeral services being held at noon. The Rev. Carlton Kangas will officiate. Burial will take place at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Eau Claire, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 10, all are invited to attend.
