Joseph Kaiser
Joseph R. Kaiser, 87, of rural Augusta, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice and his loving family. 

Joseph Robert Kaiser was born Aug. 6, 1928 in Wilson Township, Eau Claire County. As a child he was baptized into the catholic faith and attended Evergreen Country School in Wilson Township. He also attended high school until he had to stay home and work on the family farm full time. He enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean conflict and served from Jan. of 1951 until Jan. of 1953. He was united in marriage to Lois Henke and to this union 5 children were born. After their divorce he married Dorothy (Kuechler) Gee on March 10, 1969 in Stillwater, MN. The couple lived all their married life in Chippewa Falls until moving to their present home in Ludington Township 28 years ago. Joe had been employed for Wissota Sand and Gravel where he operated heavy equipment and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 139. Joe retired at the age of 62 and then had time to enjoy fishing, hunting and working on and with his 2 Caterpillars and John Deere tractor. Joe and Dorothy did enjoy their visits traveling to see Joe’s children. He was a member of the Augusta American Legion Post # 291. 

Joe will be dearly missed by Dorothy, his wife of 47 years; 3 sons, Gary Kaiser and Gregg Kaiser (Lori) all of Scappoose, OR, Jeff (Beverly) Kaiser of Sweet Home, OR; daughter, Shannon Sayers (Scott) of San Antonio, TX; 3 step-children, Howard (Deb) Luedtke, Barbara (Craig) Bichner all of Chippewa Falls, David A. Gee (Kathy) of Eau Claire; 12 grandchildren, Sara, Jill, Adrianne, Brittney, Julianne (Kyle), Kelli, Gina, Jenny, Adam, Petra, Jamie and Jenny; and 8 great grandchildren, Kailee, Kendall, Breianna, Josh, Wheel, Sophia, Cody and Tyler. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters and his son, Joel Kaiser. 

Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with services at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
