Vanessa Gunterling
Vanessa Kay Gunterling, a.k.a. TOAD! was gifted to this world on December 3, 1979. This beautiful gift was returned on September 15, 2016 due to unforeseen health complications. She followed the paths of her father, Jon Daniel Gunter, cousin Abbigail Joy Jackson, paternal and maternal grandparents, and dear friends John V. Herrick Sr. and Ada McConnell.
She has left behind her mother Cynthia Lou Gunter of Augusta; her husband Aaron Ling of Augusta; her children Estel Zariah Gunter, Aryona Zandreigha Gunter, Blade Zyler Gunterling, Zack Boatman,Tyler Boatman, and Kaililyn Ling; siblings Crystal Ann Gunter, Alicia Pearl (Gunter) Sykes, Danita Joy Puckett, Alisha Marie (Berger) Boettcher, and Jacob Harley Berger; grandmother Joan (Campbell) Miles of the tan Buick; nieces and nephews Josef, Alexander, Quincy, Izaiah, and Sarena. As well as a sea of other family not mentioned above, both blood-related and not, as Vanessa never drew that line with most of the people she knew. She was a wild and crazy woman who embraced life on every possible level. She was an aspiring seamstress, a Wednesday night gardener, she followed the moon to see where it would take her, she never accepted danger for what it was, a life-traveler that took every road and every chance life had to offer, always ending up on the road that lead home to her family, her favorite place. Part of her dreams were played out by the opening of Shenandoahs Art and Gift in Osseo along with her mother and grandmother. It was here that she best expressed her desires for the world around her.This is the space she created to give back and she wholly put herself into that place. She was someone who inspired others to feel to the absolute fullest which is a rare and unique quality. That was Vanessa. That IS Vanessa's spirit and that will never die. She will continue to provide that to all who knew her and loved her. She was a free-spirited hippie to the core.Carpe Diem!
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 24th at the Lions Hall, 200 E. Lincoln St. in Augusta from 1 to 5p.m. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to a fund at the Unity Bank in Osseo under Shenandoahs Arts and Gifts.
The family is assisted by the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.
