Franklin Draeger
Franklin E. Draeger, 82, of rural Augusta, died Monday, April 4, 2016 at his home in hospice care.
Franklin Edward Draeger, son of Franklin and Elsie (Erickson) Draeger was born Sept. 12, 1933 in Waukesha,WI. He lived all of his life in Waukesha until he retired and moved to rural Augusta; the hometown of his wife Margaret Henning Draeger.
After his graduation from Waukesha High School he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving until his honorable discharge in 1961. Frank was employed for 28 years for American Hoist and Derrick Company out of St. Paul, MN. Frank traveled worldwide with the company supervising crane operations on major construction sites. After his retirement he enjoyed fishing and hunting mostly in Wisconsin but also out west.
Frank will be dearly missed by his wife Margaret; 3 daughters, Vickie, Debbie and Terrie; 2 step children, Elaine and Rudy; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Pat Nygren; brother Jim Draeger; and the great granddaughters he was helping to raise, Nevaeh and Kristana Clark.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016, at 3:30 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday starting at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date in the West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta.
