Arden Troxel
Arden Troxel, 86, of Augusta, passed away Tuesday morning, June 2, 2015 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Arden John Troxel, son of Ernest Lee and Esther (Horswill) Troxel was born Aug. 21, 1928. As a young child he had lived in Alma Center and Neillsville. In 1937, he moved with his family to their farm in Lincoln Township, rural Augusta. After Arden finished school he work on the farm. Arden was united in marriage to Lovella Lighthizer on August 31, 1949 in Eau Claire. Arden worked hard his entire life, providing for his family. After he left the farm he worked in construction. He had also work at the Presto Ordnance Plant in Eau Claire, prior to taking a semi driving position with Diamond Trucking. After leaving Diamond he drove for Bush Brothers Canning Company and in more recent years with Brunzlick Trucking of Augusta.

Arden had a smile and a wave for everyone in his community. He made friends easily, and was quick to open his home to all, ready with a meal, and fun conversation. He had a knack for meeting new people, whether near his hometown, or traveling with his daughters. Arden especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, walking for exercise and driving around in his 1963 Ford Galaxie convertible.

Arden will be dearly missed by Lou, his loving wife of 65 years; 3 daughters, Patricia (Ric) Camboni of LaGrange, IL, Debra Steinke of Fort Wayne, IN, Julie (Gary) Schroeder of Augusta; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Doris) Troxel of Augusta; sister, Yvonne (Henry) Wasserburger of Casper, WY; and long time family friends, Dale Maurer and Bob and Arlene McCarty.
