Ayrton Platt
Ayrton J. Platt, A.J., 14, of Whitehall, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015, as a result of an A.T.V. accident near his home.  

Ayrton James Platt, was born June 30, 2000, the son of James and Jocelyn (Cucciardo) Platt in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He was baptized at the Word of Grace Fellowship in Indiana, Pennsylvania. A.J. had attended grade school in Blairsville, PA, and was currently living with his grandparents in Whitehall, where he was home schooled. A.J. was a young man with a personality larger than life. He lived life by following his nose; full of adventure and curiosity, fearless and void of worries. He was a trusting soul who loved all people and never missed an opportunity to introduce himself and strike up a conversation with a stranger. He had a tremendous love for the outdoors and had been active with the cub scouts and currently loved his dirt bikes and riding his A.T.V.s. He had also enjoyed his involvement, and the friendships he had made through the youth group of the Assembly of God Church in Augusta, under the spiritual leadership of Wendy Hoekstra.  

A.J. will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his parents, James II, and Jocelyn of Blairsville, PA; sister, Lexi Jaymes Platt, and brother, Carson “C.J. Elliott both of Blairsville; grandparents, Robert and Joyce Cucciardo of Whitehall, WI, Sandra Cochran of Turtle Creek, PA; great grandmother, Lucreia Cucciardo of Fort Myers, FL; great grandfather, Paul Cucciardo of Lexington, N.C; aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.  

A.J. was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Platt Sr, and Ralph and Norma Beard.  

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Augusta, with Pastor Dale Hazard officiating. . Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Assembly of God Church, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in the Blairsville Cemetery in Blairsville, PA.
