Carol Olson
Carol R. Olson, 71, of Osseo, passed away Thursday morning, April 23, 2015, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, surrounded by her loving family following a brief and sudden illness. 

Carol Rae Olson, daughter of Ervin and Adeline (Klumby) Johnson was born September 25, 1943, in Osseo. She was raised in Osseo, where she was baptized and confirmed at Osseo Evangelical Lutheran Church, attended grade school and graduated from Osseo High School in 1961. On April 16, 1961, she was united in married to Dale Olson at South Beef River Lutheran Church. The couple started their life together in South St. Paul, MN, then moving to Ellsworth, before eventually returning to Osseo in 1973. After raising her 3 sons she entered the work force. Carol was fortunate to have a position she loved, working in sales at Helzberg Diamonds at the Oakwood Mall in Eau Claire. She retired in 2013, after working there for 15 years. Dale and Carol were active members of the Augusta Assembly of God Church for nearly 40 years. Through the church she was active with the Women’s Ministry and over the years enjoyed decorating the church. She loved the warm weather and for 15 years she and Dale vacationed in Mexico, but also enjoyed boating and spending time on the northern Wisconsin lakes. Carol cherished time spent with family and her many close friendships. She also loved to go shopping, enjoyed reading and when her boys were involved in activities she was always there to cheer them on.  

Carol will be dearly missed by Dale, her husband of 54 years; 3 sons, Billy and Stephanie Olson of Osseo, Van and Jennifer Olson, Jon and Melissa Olson all of Eau Claire; 12 grandchildren, Jay, Justin, Bobby, Sammi, Katherine, Marcy, Lyle, Chandler, Nathan, Tyler, Alex and Paige; sister, Ruth and Ed Holden of Eau Claire; Dale’s siblings, Willard and Judy Olson, Alvina Henning all of Eau Claire, Janette Walton of Minneapolis, Genevieve and Ron Johnson of Osseo. 

Carol was preceded in death by her parents. 

Memorial services will be held Monday, April 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Augusta, with Pastors Dale Hazard, Gary Bell and Jim Christianson officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the South Beef River Lutheran Church Cemetery. 

 Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
